Background
Sarah Robb joined the firm as a partner in 2026. Sarah is an experienced employment and trial lawyer known for her work representing whistleblowers in both public and private sectors. Sarah represents clients in any way that will help make the workplace better, including employees standing up for their rights and employers conducting investigations or policy reviews. In addition to her employment law work, Sarah has expanded her practice to represent requesters in Freedom of Information Act litigation.
Sarah has been practicing law in Virginia since 2008. After graduating from the Missouri School of Journalism and the University of Richmond School of Law, she became an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, prosecuting criminal matters in all levels of state court. In 2011, Sarah continued her Commonwealth service with the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia, where she advocated for victims of sexually violent predators, protected the rights of animals in the Animal Law Unit, and practiced in state and federal courts in the Employment Law Unit of the Civil Litigation Division. After a decade with the OAG, Sarah began her own firm, Sarah Robb Law, where she practiced for four years before joining Shelley & Schulte.
Sarah is a Qualified Master Counselor in Trial Practice/Litigation through the Virginia Law Foundation. She has been named a “Leader in the Law” and “Go-To Lawyer” in Employment Law by Virginia Lawyers Weekly, and she is regularly included in the annual list of Employment/Labor Law “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business. Style Weekly named Sarah to its “40 Under 40” class of 2015, and the Richmond SPCA recognized her with the Johnny Birkitt Hero Award for her work on behalf of animals.
When she is not working, Sarah loves spending time with her husband, Jack, their three young daughters, two elderly but happy dachshunds, and one very energetic Great Dane mix rescue pup.
