Maria earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Spanish from the University of Lynchburg and her Master of Public Policy from George Mason University’s SCHAR School of Policy and Government, with a concentration in Social Policy.
Maria has worked in a variety of practice areas, both civil and criminal, and has years of experience supporting and interfacing with clients, opposing counsel, legal experts, witnesses and court personnel. She is recognized for her strong legal drafting skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and her capacity to manage complex cases with professionalism and care.
Born in Colombia, Maria takes great pride in her heritage, which fuels her dedication to advocacy and her ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. As a bilingual Spanish-English speaker, she is driven by a deep commitment to justice and civil rights, ensuring every client feels supported, heard, and respected.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and volunteering in her local community. She also loves spending time with her energetic Border Collie/English Shepherd mix, Maya.
